Joomla 1.6+: New website template and joomla 1.7

This weblog has been updated to Joomla 1.7, once the migration is complete and the template is built we will go to Joomla 2.5 when all of the plugins have been updated.I have recoded the template and updated the CSS for the template in this website, at first I did not realize that there would be this much work. But we are approaching the finish line for the completion of this project.
A number of modules have changed, I am using Raxo all-mode, Disqus Comments, Bigshot Google Analytics, jFlckr and Joomla 1.7 now these modules and plugins have replaced obsolete and outdated plugins that are not compatible with the the current version of Joomla. Plugins like Feed Gator, PixSearch, Superfish Menus, Chronoforms, and several other plugins will stay the same.
As for the template, I had to recode the template to comply with the changes for the new Joomla 1.6-2.5 template system, Joomla added more PHP include for the template and template XML files. The new template system no-longer allows you to just add a few pieces of JDoc code and then you can code how you wish.
